Before the show's launch, there was one particularly enthusiastic supporter. "This is the beginning of a type of revolution," said the controversial US journalist. His conservative Just the News platform will publish the ex-PM's new audio shows.

Forging Alliances in the Maga Media Ecosystem

Compatriot supporters, such as a pro-Reform adviser, have also helped her establish the Liz Truss Show. The production is competent, though simple. Truss has amassed 10,000 subscribers in her debut week and her premiere achieved tens of thousands of views during that week.

This represents a modest start, but in making common cause with John Solomon, she is being pushed into a well-developed right-wing media network generating and disseminating pro-Trump narratives. Its obsessions encompass claims of media suppression by the established press and a goal to eradicate a so-called administrative state – which she attributes her downfall to for the rapid conclusion of her disastrous time in office.

"The platform is not well-known outside of the Maga-verse, but it does have influence there, largely because of its founder, who offers opinions on conservative outlets like the program hosted by Steve Bannon and has even questioned Donald Trump," noted Alex Hinton, who has closely studied the Make America Great Again phenomenon.

A Controversial Partner

Truss's attempt to import American conservative media to the United Kingdom has pushed her closer to divisive personalities such as John Solomon.

He founded his media outlet after scrutiny following accusations of circulating false stories about Biden's anti-corruption work in the Ukraine, as well as contentious articles about ex-ambassador to that country.

Solomon's reporting were amplified throughout the conservative press, with he appearing as a regular guest on Sean Hannity's influential cable news broadcast. Trump himself boosted his stories.

He wrote the Ukraine claims in a set of articles for the publication the political newspaper, after having been re-labelled as a columnist following internal criticism about his work. His narratives were central in Trump's demand for the officials in Kyiv to investigate Hunter Biden and his father in that year. This pressure led to articles of impeachment against the president. A Cross-Border Foray

Even though the former PM's unnatural presentation and career difficulties have drawn derision at home, a number of stateside commentators are taking seriously her bid to reinvent herself as a British branch of the Maga media.

Hinton said the growth of the digital conservative movement in the UK lately meant the "possibility to have a larger effect is substantial."
